And I don't know if it's just me or not, but it seems like the Japanese just overall voice act better. Like deep down inside they're unafraid of looking like fools voice acting a childs toy, or a cartoon, unlike a lot of their western counterparts.

The English cast in shenmue did a good job considering what they had to work with, there's a real appeal to it, but have you ever seen the opening cutscene of the game in Japanese? Go to youtube and check it out, if you haven't, it's awesome. Suddenly the game seems less cheesy, and a whole lot more magical.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02531504948166707363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271730123136465326.post-78124329147297673632012-01-08T14:33:28.917-06:002012-01-08T14:33:28.917-06:00No love for Yakuza 2? Though, the English voice crew did a good job, especially Hamill as Majima. Well, they did their fair share of awkward dubbing, but it was fun to listen to. I was playing Yakuza before I did the blog for the day and left it on pause to attend to the daily duty and all, and that's when the background ambiance really started warping my brain. I just had to write about it, haha. Ambiance aside, I dig the Yakuza series, but I would much rather have a Shenmue 3. No doubt. I don't think the Yakuza games are going anywhere any time soon, though, considering the somewhat newly christened "Yakuza Studio". Sega should just let Yu take the Shenmue license, and let the Yakuza gang keep carving out their own little nook and cranny out of the River City Ransom sub genre. That way everybody's happy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02531504948166707363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271730123136465326.post-10431106673331534612012-01-07T14:32:56.281-06:002012-01-07T14:32:56.281-06:00Omg, yeah it's pretty boring but since I'm...Omg, yeah it's pretty boring but since I'm attached to the game I find it nostalgic somehow.
I mean... the girl saying "NII-SAN!", the guy echoing... that means I'm in Kamurocho. Lol.
And Kazuma is so sexy!

Still, enough with Yakuza sequels, the first one was the best one anyway, they should make Shenmue 3 instead.ShenmueFangirlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271730123136465326.post-68448237493013504312012-01-06T15:35:43.651-06:002012-01-06T15:35:43.651-06:00Hahaha, yeah, man! Seriously, I think the audio in this game has the power to make people trip balls. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02531504948166707363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1271730123136465326.post-67477092448131405722012-01-06T10:53:47.589-06:002012-01-06T10:53:47.589-06:00Oh man that one chick is burned into my brain for ...Oh man that one chick is burned into my brain for life

"Ne ne!"

"Yi HAW!"

I dunno what she's actually saying, but yeah.
